Does your 1971 - 1980 Scout II, Terra or Traveler wander or have slop in the steering?

Replace that worn out and weaker rag joint and rusty old upper joint with this new Borgeson steering universal joint kit.

Reduces play in your steering for a much 'tighter' steering system.

Select proper size of lower joint before ordering - either 3/4"-30 spline or 13/16"-36 spline.

A perfect solution for those with a body lift. Kit includes upper and lower steering joints and 6" of DD shaft.

How do I determine which size ragjoint I need? All Scout II's from 1971 thru mid 1977 came from the factory with a 13/16" input and then from mid 1977 thru 1980 had a 3/4" input. If your steering box was replaced at some point in its life it may have had a change in input size. To best determine which input you have in this scenario use a 11/16" 12 point box end wrench and try to slip it over the input shaft of the steering box(steering box must be removed or ragjoint removed in order to perform this task) . If the wrench slips over the input shaft then you have a 3/4" input. If it will NOT go over the input shaft then you have a 13/16" input.

I researched buying this upgrade forever. Finally destroyed the factory rag joint. I won't ever go back. All my Scouts and D-Series trucks will get some form of this upgrade so the slop and raggedy steering that was once there, is now gone and so much better. I even tried it pulling the Scout to a different location with another vehicle, and it turned great, with less of the effort that the old rag joint required. Awesome, do it and forget about it.....2 thumbs up.
