CPT Air Conditioning Kit for 1971-80 Scout II, Terra or Traveler
Make your IH Scout II cool again in more ways than one.
Designed to replace an air conditioning system in a Scout II, Terra or Traveler with IH V8 engine.
NOTICE TO INSTALLERS:
- For those installing into a non-factory equipped air conditioning Scout II you will need the wider outer waterpump pulley. We have these used for $25 additional, or you can upgrade to a billet stack.
- For those installing into a Scout that never had air conditioning, the factory alternator/air conditioning bracket will be needed. Contact us for availability of a used bracket.
- The underdash A/C unit, condensing unit and binary switch will be shipped separately from the rest of the kit.
- The binary switch is to be installed into the A/C dryer canister. There is a threaded plug that needs to be removed to expose the port to thread the switch onto.
- You will be using only the outer pulley groove on the A/C compressor for proper belt routing.
- The A/C compressor is pre-filled with oil, unless otherwise noted.
-Some factory A/C cast-iron brackets have casting flash within the slots to where the a/c compressor adapter is mounted. In certain cases, the flashing will need to be filed out.
-Addition of A/C to your Scout II will take up some leg room within the passenger floorboard.
