My original mirrors, both sides, on my Scout II just flopped around every time I would hit a bump. I just had to replace them and searched far and wide. Closest thing to original that I found were PLASTIC. Nope, where I go, plastic is not applicable. I found these Part #: SII-MIRROR-T, and was hesitant for a couple of months about spending a hundred bucks and the over size 8½" X 5", but I broke down and got'em. I SHOULD NOT HAVE WAITED, THESE MIRRORS ARE SUPER, THEY FIT PERFECTLY ON THE DOOR AND ACTUALLY FOLD IN-WARD PROVIDING FOR TIGHT SPACES. They do not cover the ALL of the previous holes, but TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, YOU WON'T GO WRONG WITH THIS PRODUCT. My Scout II is a one-owner vehicle; I bought it new in 1980, and it STILL will climb a telephone-pole if I could get it on one.
